When I am working on something, music is a big help to keep focused. Ambient music is perfect for this. The other thing I like is some movement on screens. I usually work with multiple screens which is great for. lot of things. But one of the things it does is to give another point of distraction.
Back when iTunes was solely used for music, I used the visualizer a lot. These days, there are YouTube Channels that play ambient music with visuals. I use them every day. To the point of needing to get a YouTube profile set up for just that, because otherwise that is all the algorithm would show me.
I decided to try to code some visualizers myself. It was fun and I learned a lot. Even had to learn some physics! So, here they are, they start out pretty rough and janky, but end up a little less janky. Some of them have setting to manipulate and some have settings to manipulate that do not work yet. I work on this when I get bored of other things, but it does happen.
The first couple I tried I just did with javascript and css. they are crude. But then I read about WebGL and then, off came the training wheels. I love The Fog!
I present VisioLizer!
