I keep things here that I like.

About Me

I am an IT Director with 30 years of progressive experience building and running the infrastructure that keeps organizations working. I started on a production floor cutting film and making plates, moved into systems and databases, and eventually took ownership of technology strategy, infrastructure, automation, and digital operations across a multi-state organization. I still write code. I still fix things myself. I hire people who do the same.

The work I find most interesting sits at the intersection of systems thinking and real-world operations: building automation that eliminates manual processes, designing infrastructure that does not fail, and translating complex technical decisions into language that business leaders can act on. I have done this across seven offices, 300 employees, and 30 years of deadlines that cannot be missed.

Outside of work I play competitive sanctioned disc golf, compose music, do 3D printing and woodworking, and spend probably too much time thinking about systems that have nothing to do with my job. I built a WD hitch calculator because the manual was inadequate. I wrote a Powerball probability script because the math interested me. I audited physics at Vanderbilt because it was air conditioned and on my walk home.

I am currently exploring what comes next.
